So, I'm back at playing with a band, after a good 13 years.
The band is called Intra and we have a new single out, the only thing is that it's not me on the drums :)
Anywyas, here is a description of this release:
- Drums were played and recorded by our friend Victor Brasil at his home studio.
- Bass, guitars and vocals were tracked at my “new studio” Vértice. Vocals went through the SM7 and UAD's API Vision via Unison.
Mixed and mastered by me as well, maybe I'll put a video breaking down the mix session.

A few months ago I recorded Brazilian punk/hardcore band Laso at their studio.
The album was tracked mostly live in two days with only vocals tracked after this weekend (which I did not record)
The album was mixed by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios in the UK.

Another one I had the pleasure to mix/master is out in the world.
A challenging one to mix for sure: with dry, tight-sounding recorded drums (where I wanted them to sound big and wide) and vocals recorded and edited by multiple people with different setups, but in the end, it sounds big and organic and I'm delighted with the results.

A few years ago my friend Mike De Masi needed help finishing up a project he recorded a few years before… it was a Pro Tools session from what would become his first album “A Moment Of Introspection”.

This is the result of another year of working with composer Luc St-Pierre on his vision for Ubisoft's “For Honor” world.
I had the pleasure of mixing all the tracks for the game and now, the release of the official soundtrack album which was mastered by Richard Addison at Trillium Sound

Brazilian metal band Lugubra (which most of the musicians I have been working with for over 20 years) has just released their new, mostly self-produced (I did help a lot at the end), self-recorded (DI guitars, bass, not-programmed electronic drums) album.

This one also took a while (I guess it's a thing now), from mix tweaks to re-doing parts that I got sent a few months after “we finished”, but it was all for a good reason.
The album is out and it's a good one.
Drums were tracked by Alexei Leão, guitars and bass tracked by Nicholas Di Lucia and I had the pleasure to mix and master the project.

We tracked this EP live (apart from vocals) back in March (click here if you want to know more about the gear used). There are no overdubs other than one song.
We kept it as raw as possible and I hope you all enjoy!
 

This was a fun one to work on: we tracked the instrumentals live in a few hours (just a few overdubs and doubling guitars) and vocals were done on a different day.

Input chain is the same as “always” with Apollo x8p with API Vision strip and Studer tape in all inputs.
Drum mics were from a cheap Chinese drum mic kit (I don't even remember the name/brand) but the overheads were a pair of Warm Audio WA84.
