I'm happy to be able to mention that mixed the music for a game I called “Towers Of Thana” and it's going into Steam's Early Access next week (August 21st, 2023)

A couple of weeks ago I got to mix this great performance of Sepultura's “Territory” from Brazilian drummer Thiago Castro.

The Helios 69 is one of my favorite UAD emulations (I've been using it since their “Legacy” Helios strip) and a while ago I bought Acustica Audio's take on the Helios 69, called Viridian.

Then I started using Analog Obsession's HLE-SE free take on the same EQ and a couple of days ago, Lindell Audio put out their 69 Channel Strip which I was really looking forward to trying.

The EQ curves do not match between those 4 plugins, some of them a VERY different, some of them a pretty close but I am certain you will hear the differences between them, even going through Youtube's audio compression.

Last year I had the pleasure to spend an afternoon inside a normal rehearsal room  with some extra-talented musician friends (Thiago Castro on Drums, Lucas Barnery on Guitar, and Thiago Baumgarten on Bass) and that afternoon generated two awesome tunes, this one linked below and a fully live jam, named “Peanut Butter” 
 

A few days ago I did a quick comparison between some of my favorite API 2500 emulations available today (I totally forgot to add the Lindell version).

I totally forgot to mention that Luc St-Pierre's soundtrack for Ubisoft's For Honor, is out now. The album is called “Lost Horizons” mixed by yours truly and mastered by Richard Addison once again.

It's been a while since my last post but that doesn't mean things were slow, it's exactly the opposite.

A few months ago L.A. based Brazilian multi-instrumentist Fabio Rocha asked me to do the mastering of his album "Naif".
Although it was great to have him reaching out to me for this task, the album needed a few extra tweaks on the mix before I could do the masters.
Once I got the mix sessions, I did my best to finish it up while keeping the vibe of the project intact and ready to be heard by the rest of the world :)

I had the pleasure to mix and master 4 songs for Brazilian guitar player Diego Pires's first solo EP.
The album was recorded mostly at his home studio and has no "mic'd" instruments.
Guitars went through either a Neural DSP Quad Cortex or Mercuriall's "AmpBox Reaxis, drums were programmed and are a blend of several different libraries and the bass was also recorded through a Quad Cortex.

As a departure from his comfort zone, this album was an adventurous project for the artist, self-recorded at home and with the help of Producer Alex Pochat.
